Regatta weekend on Go Home Lake
The annual regatta sponsored by the GHLCOA and held annually on the Civic Holiday weekend. The cross lake swim, water and land races, and the North vs South tug of war make the regatta the highlight of the year for many cottagers, particularly children.
The ‘Across-the Lake’ swim, from the beach at Lot P 09/10, kicks off the regatta each year, with the winner being awarded the McCarthy Trophy.
2023 Regatta
Sunday August 6, 2023 on the Long Weekend
Lunch will be available from Lein Catering. Debit is unreliable so please bring cash to pay for food.
We will run as a traditional Regatta with a start time of 10:30 am on Sunday – Cross lake swim at 10:00 am. It will begin with races for the 3-4 year olds and go up in ages from there, ending with the traditional south vs north tug-of-war to end the festivities. Volunteers are NEEDED to help with setup and some help during the day.
